Due to the great experience, ATHEX can assist customers in the design phase of a new product through a qualified and well-founded consultation, e.g.:
ATHEX advises competently right from the beginning of a project development. An early stage cooperation often enables a functionally optimized and cost-efficient solution for the implementation of the new project.
For the implementation of a new product solution, customer-specific extrusion tools or fabrication devices are often necessary. With its own CAD-supported design, ATHEX is very quickly able to provide drawings and production documents. As a result, a rapid production of the tools and devices is possible.
The ATHEX machine park for extrusion is very variable in order to be able to produce small, medium as well as large series of plastic tubes and profiles. For coextruded products, a combination of the extrusion lines is also possible. The extruded product-sizes vary from a small LED profile with a few grams of weight to very heavy, large diameter tubes of several kilograms. Precise material dosage is met by gravimetric systems. Concurrent validation of visual and dimensional requirements is carried out on a regular basis to guarantee product quality. Thanks to an optical measuring device, an instant comparison with the technical drawing can be performed.
Extrusion requires very well qualified staff. Therefore ATHEX has been training for years young employees within the German qualified vocational system!
The ATHEX processing competence in plastics includes both the further processing of the self-extruded tubes and profiles as well as the fabrication of customer-specific drawing parts, mainly from third party plastic sheet material.
The ATHEX machine park has state-of-the-art machines, e.g. precision saws, several milling units or 5-axis and 3-axis CNC machining stations. The fully automatic annealing furnace comes into action, if there is a risk of stress cracks in the material. It can hold up to 4.50 m long workpieces and performs a stress relieved annealing of the work piece.
The well-trained and qualified ATHEX employees are specialized in the programming and operation of machines as well as in manual operations such as the gluing, polishing, foiling or bending of plastic parts.
Transporting large-sized plastic parts bears a not negligible risk of damage, especially during the reloading processes in a depot. ATHEX packs the products in optimized and adequate packaging units. For particularly vulnerable parts, we work with direct dispatch forwarders, eliminating the risky reloading process. This minimizes transport damages.
